Kolkata: The new Hero ISL franchise Bengaluru FC is gearing up to complete a whooping transfer move as the franchise is reportedly closing in to sign former Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur legend Dimitar Berbatov for ISL 2017.

In the recent past, many reports suggested that Dimitar Berbatov might join Indian Super League (ISL) club. Some reports even linked the former Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspurs’ striker to Delhi Dynamos and Atletico de Kolkata.

However, there’s a new twist to it, as out of nowhere, it seems that the 36-year-old Bulgarian might be heading to Bengaluru FC. The 2015 I-League champions dropped a  hint by posting a gif on their social media account which has a Bulgaria flag and it is more than enough to link Berbatov and Bengaluru FC.

Berbatov’s agency too stated, ““I can confirm that there has been some strong interest from various clubs from the region, but I cannot reveal any names as we are not in advanced talks. Dimitar is in no rush and is currently accepting offers to take a call about his future soon. Right now he has interest from several clubs across Europe as well, hence a move to Asia is something we cannot confirm as of now as well.”
