XtraTime Web Desk: Former India all rounder Irfan Pathan has always been very straightforward when it comes to sharing his opinion. The all rounder on Monday hit back at twitter trolls for spreading hate messages about him after he criticized the people on twitter for bursting firecrackers during Sundays #9Baje9Minute event. Irfan had tweeted, “It was so good until ppl started bursting crackers #IndiaVsCorona,” https://twitter.com/IrfanPathan/status/1246827283140104193 Soon after his tweet, Irfan received a barrage of abuse from twitteratis. Taking screenshots of the replies, Pathan posted the collage on Twitter on Monday, and captioned it, “We need fire trucks can u help? @TwitterIndia”. https://twitter.com/IrfanPathan/status/1247101662524780545 He also addressed the issue on his other social media platform Facebook. He wrote, “If I who represented India at the international level can get so much hate imagine what a normal indian citizen must be going thru? Can we all get together n stop this hate? Please can we make a conscious effort to spread sanity? This advice n question is for ppl of every faith….” The Baroda cricketer also got support from many fans. He was suggested by fans to ignore the trolls. To which Irfan again took to twitter. He tweeted, “I’m not worried abt WHAT PPL WILL SAY. PPL WHO KNOW ME AWARE OF MY CHARACTER But HATE has to stop,” https://twitter.com/IrfanPathan/status/1247102436776574977 Earlier last week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had called upon people to light candles, lamps, torches, and diyas in a show of solidarity in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. But after some took to bursting firecrackers on the occasion, the move didn’t go down well with many who felt it was not the time for celebration.
