Xtra Time Web Desk: Virat Kohli breaks his silence over the hug he shared with KKR mentor Gautam Gambhir during their IPL 2024 clash at Chinnaswamy. He said that the people are disappointed as the 'masala' is over for them. The KKR vs RCB clash was one of the most anticipated clashes on the IPL calendar this year as it would have ignited the fire between Gambhir and Kohli once again.

Both men have had tensions boil over at the same venue in the IPL before and last year again they had a spat in Lucknow after the RCB vs LSG clash. However, Kohli and Gambhir would bury the grudges during the RCB vs KKR clash and shared a hug, and won the hearts of fans. The RCB star has now commented on the matter during a PUMA event and said that people are disappointed with his behaviour after seeing him ending the misunderstandings with Naveen-ul-Haq and Gambhir. "People are disappointed with my behaviour. I hugged Naveen and Gauti bhai also hugged me that day. So, they have lost their masala," said Kohli.

Kohli had ended his feud with Afghanistan pacer Naveen during the World Cup match in Delhi. The admitted that it was Kohli who had initiated the talk to bury the hatchet. "He told me ‘Let’s finish it.' I said yeah let's finish it. We laughed about it, we hugged and moved on. He also said that after this you won't hear my name. You will only hear support from the crowd," said Naveen.

While RCB has struggled for form in season 2024, Kohli has been a lone warrior for his side in the. The star batter has scored 316 runs this season, which makes him the current holder of the Orange Cap. During the match against KKR, when Kohli shared the hug with Gambhir, he scored 83 runs and remained unbeaten. However, KKR got better of RCB after the chase.

RCB will face MI next in the IPL on April 11.
