Xtra Time Web Desk: After spending two years confined to bed, Rishabh Pant’s dream finally materialized. He grasped his bat, lead his team to victory. For Rishabh, 31st March, Sunday marked the realization of that long-held dream. After 903 days, he returned to the IPL stage. In this ongoing season, the Delhi Capitals secured their first win. Pant's extraordinary feat of hitting a one-handed six left him bursting with exhilaration as he propelled his team to triumph.

Facing Chennai Super Kings, Pant crafted an innings of 51 runs from 32 balls. Though he started slowly, he gathered momentum, scoring 28 runs in the final nine deliveries. In the 18th over, he executed a remarkable one-handed six over mid-wicket off Mustafizur Rahman. Such a display wasn't unprecedented for Pant; he has shown this skill before. Despite enduring a two-year hiatus from cricket due to the accident, his prowess remained intact.

As the match concluded, Pant's exuberance overflowed as he expressed himself. His words conveyed the height of his struggle to reach this milestone. Pant exclaimed, "For two years, I've been waiting. Just like everyone else, I wanted to see if I could execute a one-handed six. And today, I achieved it."

While praising his side he said, "The bowlers were clinical, we talked about learning from mistakes. (Shaw opening) He's been working hard, we thought it was time to give him his chance and he took it. (Mukesh) Depends on the match-ups but he stands up at the death, came back well today despite being hit."
