Xtra Time Web Desk: In a thrilling IPL 2023 game on Tuesday night Mumbai Indians managed to chase down the target of 173 runs set by Delhi Capitals with just one ball to spare at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Mumbai Indians openers Rohit Sharma (65 off 45) and Ishan Kishan (31 off 26) set the tone with a blazing start, plundering 62 runs in the Powerplay. Rohit was in destructive form, hitting boundaries and sixes, and even Anrich Nortje, the best bowler of Delhi Capitals, was taken for 15 runs in his first over. Despite a run-out causing Kishan's dismissal, Rohit continued his onslaught and completed his fifty in 29 balls, supported by Tilak Varma. However, Suryakumar Yadav's struggle with the bat continued as he fell for a first-ball duck.

Delhi Capitals' bowlers tried to pull things back in the middle overs, but Mumbai Indians kept the momentum going with timely boundaries and sixes. Piyush Chawla, the veteran leg-spinner, was the pick of the bowlers for Mumbai Indians, taking three crucial wickets and finishing with impressive figures of 3 for 22.

In the end, it was Cameron Green (17 off 8) and Tim David (13 off 11) who held their nerve and stole two runs off the last ball to seal the victory for Mumbai Indians. Delhi Capitals, on the other hand, suffered their fourth consecutive loss in the tournament and will need to regroup to turn their fortunes around. Despite having a talented Indian contingent, their struggles continue, and it remains to be seen if they can bounce back and be a title contender in the tournament.
