Xtra Time Web Desk: The 15th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) will commence from March 26, where Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will face last season's champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK). This will be a repeat clash of the finals last year and KKR will aim to give some tough time to CSK on the very start of IPL season after losing out previously.

The Kolkata based francise managed to retain some of the players in IPL 2022 mega auction. They did a good job by bring in valuable backup options and fresh faces with elusive talent.

KKR faced an early setback ahead of the tournament, with Alex Hales pulling out due to bio bubble fatigue. Aaron Finch was named as the replacement but he won’t be available for the first few games along with Pat Cummins. This means that, the KKR franchise will not be able to field their best playing XI yet against the Chennai Super Kings franchise, however, they have enough options on the bench to try out.

KKR predicted XI: Ajinkya Rahane, Venkatesh Iyer (openers), Nitish Rana, Shreyas Iyer (C), Sam Billings (wicketkeeper), Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Tim Southee, Shivam Mavi, Umesh Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy.
