Xtra Time Web Desk: Can Yuzuvendra Chahal take a perfect revenge against his former franchise RCB? Can Chahal win the personal battle against RCB’s Wanindu Hasaranga? The Rajasthan Royals leg spinner will definitely have a statement to make in the all-important Eliminator 2 against his former franchise at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Friday.

Once a RCB loyal, Yuzuvendra Chahal was not retained by the franchise ahead of IPL 2022. The franchise did not even bid for him at the IPL 2022 mega auctions. He openly expressed his dissatisfaction, but things worked out well for him as he is now doing a fine job for Rajasthan Royals. Chahal will definitely want to prove a point.

Currently the Purple Cap holder, Chahal will have a competition with RCB leg spinner Wanindu Hasaranga. Chahal has so far claimed 26 wickets in the season, while Hasaranga has 25 scalps. Not only will he try to safeguard his Purple cap but he will also have a personal vendetta against his former employers.

Both sides have met each other in group stages and the score line is 1-1. While RCB registered a convincing 4 wickets win over Royals at Wankhede stadium on April 5, Sanju Samson led side took a revenge by winning the return leg match at MCA Stadium in Pune by 29 runs.

Meanwhile, the Rajasthan Royals players had a light workout at the Narendra Modi stadium. Focus will be again on Jos Buttler, who scored a brilliant 89 off 56 balls. RR captain Sanju Samson will look to make amends as he threw his wicket in the Qualifier 1 against Gujarat Titans at Eden Gardens. The likes of Shimron Hetmyer and Devdutt Padikkal needs to step up against a decent RCB bowling line up.

As far as Rajasthan’s bowling is concerned, it will revolve around the spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzuvendra Chahal. Trent Boult will once again spearhead the pace bowling attack comprising of Obed McCoy and Prasidh Krishna.
