Xtra Time Web Desk: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) talisman MS Dhoni did not have the greatest of starts to the IPL 2021 season. Dhoni led CSK were comprehensively outplayed by Rishabh Pant’s Delhi Capitals. The Super Kings lost the game by 7 wickets. Adding to the woes, the CSK captain was fined after his team maintained a slow over-rate during their IPL 2021 match against Delhi Capitals at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on April 10.

As it was his team’s first offence of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, Mr Dhoni was fined Rs 12 lakh.

The 39 year old didn’t have a great time with the bat either. He bagged a two-ball duck and was clean bowled by young pacer Avesh Khan in the 16th over. It also happened to be his first duck since the 2015 edition of the T20 league.
