XtraTime Web Desk: It was a perfect day for the Gill family as young Shubman scored a match-winning half-century to help Kolkata Knight Riders win their crucial Indian Premier League (IPL 2019) encounter against Kings XI Punjab on Friday. The effort also helped Shubman receive his first Man of the Match award in the cash-rich league since making his debut last season. The youngster was seen interacting with his father and mother after the match for IPL’s official website. Here are the excerpts: Shubman: How are you feeling Papa? Father: I am so happy to see you score fifty at your home ground and help your team win tonight. Shubman: I am hearing that you made a wild celebration when I reached fifty. What did you do? Father: I danced in joy once you reached your half-century. I did a bit of bhangra.

Mother: Did you notice your Papa’s reaction when you reached your fifty? Shubman: No, I did not notice it. Shubman: Were you nervous while I was batting? Father: Yes, I was a little nervous to start with. But I always had the confidence that you will do well in your home ground. According to Shubman, “Obviously there is pressure but when I enter the ground I don’t think about this stuff. I only think about how I am going to get runs in this particular situation. That’s what goes in my mind. I don’t think.”
