Kolkata: Two-time Indian Premier League champions Kolkata Knight Riders lost their second game against Chennai Super Kings despite of scoring more than 200 runs in the first innings. After this demoralizing loss against CSK, Kolkata Knight Riders bowling coach Heath Streak blamed that the bowlers didn’t execute to the plans which they had talked ahead of the match.

“I think our execution wasn’t right, it wasn’t according to the plans. Our spinners bowled well in the middle overs but, it was tough to control the flow of runs in the last few overs as we conceded many runs in the power play. CSK got a few good batsmen; Bravo already showed what he can do in the first match. We dropped the catch of Billings. He played brilliantly after that. We have to learn from the mistakes,” said Streak while talking to the media.

Streak lauded the performances of Sunil Narine and Andre Russell and feels that the team just need to put collective bowling performances from the next game.

“Narine was outstanding Russel played well. We just need to put collective bowling performances for the next game. Johson didn’t play the match hopefully he will be back in the next match,” added Streak.

CSK needed 17 runs in the final over, and Vinay Kumar bowled a full toss and a no ball as well, it went for a huge six, which eased the pressure from Chennai. Streak thinks that Vinay failed to execute the plan and he also has a suggestion for the veteran speedster.

“It’s all about the execution. Vinay tried to bowl Yorker in the first ball but, it went for a full toss. The ball Jadeja hit for six was a half volley. He has to bowl in the tight lines otherwise it will be difficult for him.”

In their next game against SRH, the Knight Riders won’t have to face David Warner as he is banned by Cricket Australia for 12 months. According to Streak it would definitely be an advantage for the home side.

“David Warner is a kind of batsman who can change the match single handedly. They have good bowling options so, we have to be careful. We are playing some good cricket too. We just have to put up a collective performance to win the game,” concluded Streak.
