Internet Desk: Former Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni has a personal attachment with Chennai Super Kings, at the launch of his cricket academy Dhoni shared the strategy of the franchise which they would follow in the mega auction which will take place in Bengaluru on January 27th and 28th.

“I have a personal connect with the CSK. I have been part of them right from the first year. Last two years, they have not been part of the IPL, but our fan following has grown up. People have belief in the brand,” said Dhoni while launching his cricket academy in Singapore on Saturday.

In a recent chat show, Dhoni made it clear that the franchise would go all-out for ace off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.

“Right now the bigger issue would be getting into the auction and getting the players that we really want. We would try to get some of the players back, who played for us in the last season.

“But, as I said, we have to keep our emotions aside for the simple reason that if some other franchise raises the price for some particular player; we should be bold enough to let him go,” the 36-year-old said.

MS Dhoni who wants to take the cricket to the grassroots-level all over the world, is working with a few renowned organizations to build up his academies all-over Asia.

The Ranchi’s star wicket-keeper said,”Sports should be an essential driver for the development of a child’s character. Apart from being fit, you can learn leadership and other important aspects of life via sports.

“Every kid should play an outdoor sport. MS Dhoni Cricket Academy is not only about producing cricket talent but our academy’s vision is to guide a kid to become a champion in life via sports.”
