XtraTime Web Desk: Thanks to a destructive batting from star opener KL Rahul and middle order batsman Karun Nair, Kings XI Punjab has started their Indian Premier League season 11 campaign on a high note by beating Delhi Daredevils by 6 wickets today. Rahul scored the fastest fifty in the Indian Premier League today while chasing a score of 167 runs to win. He smashed his smashed his half century in just 14 deliveries to derail Delhi Devils. In this span he hit six boundaries and four sixes. It was overall the third fastest half century in the history of T20 cricket.

Star Indian left hand batsman Yuvraj Singh and Jamaican sensation Chris Gayle is leading the list as they scored half centuries in just 12 deliveries. Former England opener Marcus Trescothick is in second of the list who has a half century in just 13 balls. Rahul got out on 51 from 16 balls, on the other hand Karun scored 50 runs in just 33 deliveries before getting out.

Earlier after winning the toss Kings XI Punjab captain Ravichandran Ashwin choose to field first against Delhi. After leaving KKR, Delhi’s new captain Gautam Gambhir showed that why he is one of the best openers in the world as he scored 55 runs to help his side to put 166 runs on board. Punjab chased down the target with 7 balls to spare.
