XtraTime Web Desk: An impressive batting performance by star English batsman Jason Roy helped Delhi Daredevils to register their first win in the Indian Premier League today as they beat defending champions Mumbai Indians in a close encounter by 7 wickets today at the Wankhede Stadium. Chasing a total of a massive 195 runs to win Roy played an outstanding knock of 91* runs to take his side home.

At the start, DD had started really well but their skipper Gautam Gambhir played a lot of dot balls which put immense pressure on another opener Jason Roy. Despite of that he hit Mumbai bowlers through all parts of the ground to take the visitors to 50 without loss in 5 overs. Though Delhi lost the momentum after that as Gambhir got out to Mustafizur Rahman on the very first ball of the 6th over. After that talented Rishabh Pant came into bat and took no time to open his arms as well like Roy. The English opener was more destructive among the two as he completed his half century on just 27 deliveries. Pant gave him a very good support before getting out on 47 on just 25 deliveries.  After that the home side again got the wicket of Glenn Maxwell, but Roy remained calm and took his team home along with Shreyas Iyer, who also remained not out on 27 from 20 deliveries.
