XtraTime Web Desk: Two-time Indian Premier League champions Kolkata Knight Riders again faced a huge blow today in IPL 2018 campaign as their Indian U19 bowling sensation Kamlesh Nagarkoti is ruled out of the tournament due to a foot injury.

Karnataka fast bowler Prasidh Krishna will join the Kolkata Knight Riders as a replacement for the injured Kamlesh Nagarkoti for the VIVO IPL 2018.

Krishna has represented Karnataka in domestic cricket and this will be his first stint in the VIVO IPL. Kolkata Knight Riders’ next game in the VIVO IPL 2018 is against Sunrisers Hyderabad at home on April 14.

KKR, who bought Nagarkoti with price of INR 3.2 crore has become more poor with their bowling resources. They have already lost the service ace Aussie pacer Mitchell Starc, who was ruled out of the tournament with tibial bone stress. Another pacer Mitchell John also didn’t feature against Chennai Super Kings in their last game as he had a slight niggle.

KKR management will hope that they won’t face further injuries and hope the young pace bowlers like Tom Curran and Shivam Mavi step up to perform well in the rest of the tournament.
