Internet Desk: The logo for the 10th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) was unveiled on Tuesday. The logo represents 10 years of the cash-rich tournament with an iconic batsman playing an attacking shot alongside the logos of Vivo and IPL.

The fans will experience a multi city Trophy Tour for the first time in ten years of VIVO IPL history. Fans can also experience a stadium-like environment at IPL fan parks across 38 cities this year.

The IPL Player Auction 2017 took place on February 20 which featured over 350 players who went up for bidding. 66 players were bought in the auction which included 27 overseas players. Ben Stokes was the most expensive player who fetched a Rs.14.5 crore deal with Rising Pune Supergiants. He was followed by teammate Tymal Mills who was sold for Rs. 12 crores to Royal Challengers Bangalore.

There were a few shockers in the auction as well. South African leg-spinner Imran Tahir found no takers. It was shocking to see him going unsold as he is currently ruling over ODI and T20I rankings. Indian pacer Ishant Sharma too went unsold.

There were several speculations surrounding Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan who did not get any bidders. His base price was Rs 50 lakhs. It came as a surprise to everyone as he performed well in Inter-State Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
