Image Source: BCCI[/caption] Internet Desk: The player auction for Indian Premier League (IPL) – 2017 edition will be held in Bangalore on February 20. Every IPL team can keep maximum numbers of 27 players and they can buy 9 foreign players at max. Each team can spend up to 66 crore (approximately $10 million). The franchises have submitted their list of craved players. The players list has been cut down to 351 players from the original size of 799. A number of 122 international players will be auctioned, which comprises 6 players from associate nations. Among them 5 are from Afghanistan. 24 renowned Indian players will be in the auction too. The top names were Asghar Stanikzai ( Afghanistan skipper), Mohammed Shahzad, Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi, Dawlat Zardin and Chirag Suri of UAE. Mohammed Shahzad and Rashid Khan’s base price will be 50 lakh. Indian speed star Ishant Sharma, who performed outstandingly in the recently concluded Test series against Bangladesh, has got himself listed among the highest base price of Rs 2 crore, also he is the only Indian international player who has a base price of more than Rs 30 lakh.
