NEW DELHI : Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth’s dream of winning the $1,20,000 Indonesian Masters Grand Prix Gold got shattered as he lost to Tommy Sugiarto in the finals on Sunday . Second seed Sugiarto got the better of the Indian in the summit clash by beating him – 17-21,21-13, 24-22.
It was Srikanth who got off to a great start winning the first game , but the Indonesian playing in front of his home crowd got the better of the Indian .
This was Srikanth’s fourth final this year , winning the India Open Super Series and Swiss Open Grand Prix Gold while losing the India Grand Prix Gold.
In the semis on Saturday the 22-year-old, Indian took just 37 minutes to oust Ginting Anthony 21-13, 21-19.
