Internet Desk: The new trend of Bollywood has suddenly created an impact at box office and that is to make biopics on leading sports personalities. In the recent past, Bollywood has presented biopics on the likes of MC Mary Kom, Milkha Singh, Mohammad Azharuddin and Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Except the biopic on Azharuddin each of the movies got great response in the box office. A biopic on the life of master blaster Sachin Tendulkar is also on the pipeline to get released. But a movie on the life of an Indian football legend will be something special as Director Prajesh Sen is about to make a biopic on V.P Sathyan who entertained a nation with his mind-blowing footballing skills in his time.
The Trivandram based Director of the movie Mr.Prajesh Sen, is a journalist by profession. He also wrote and published four books in Malayalam and also a passionate blogger.
Kannur-born Sathyan was also the captain of the Indian national team and won a number of Santosh Trophies for Kerala. When www.xtratime.in asked his former team-mate and another Indian football legend IM Vijayan about the biopic, he replied,"It is a very good news. I don't know much about the director of the movie, since I am in this trade but of course, he was a legend and I hope it will be an inspiring one."
