File Pic[/caption] Kolkata: Indian football to have another significant turn as All India Football Federation (AIFF) to meet all the I-League clubs and stake holders on Saturday at New Delhi . All the I-League clubs will express their views in front of AIFF President Praful Patel. It is expected that within a few days the AIFF President will declare the road map and structure of Indian of this particular season as the time is short it is expected that this year both ISL and I-League will run parallely after the U-17 FIFA World Cup. No ISL club will be present on tomorrow’s meeting as they had already informed that to the AIFF along with their messages. IMGR official Chirag Tanna denied to make any comments about the meeting. East Bengal officials Dr. Santi Ranjan Dasgupta and Debabrata Sarker will be attending the meeting on behalf of the club. Mohun Bagan General Secretary Anjan Mitra is seriously ill and official Debasish Dutta is on abroad, it is expected that club Assistant Secretary Srinjoy Bose might join the meeting. Though AIFF was suggested four possible options, it is not possible to implement either of those options as the time is short. East Bengal and Mohun Bagan are a bit anxious as the parallel league concept might drag the leading Indian players to the ‘cash rich’ ISL. Mohun Bagan are so worried that they haven’t even started to build their team for next season as they have released all their players after the last season. An AIFF official said Mohun Bagan and East Bengal have been consistently building the strongest squads for the last 13-14 years but Mohun Bagan took 13 years to lift the title where as East Bengal has failed to do that as well. On the flip side a small team like Aizawl FC claimed the title this season with a bunch of young unknown players. These would be the points which would be discussed in the meeting. AIFF Secretary Kushal Das said,” We might have parallel leagues this season as we should think about the interest of Indian football as well for a broader picture. The long-term road map might be discussed later after speaking with everyone.” The U-17 World Cup will run till 28th of October, the 29 team AFC Asia Cup Qualifier will begin on 14th of November. After that India will play International Friendlies in March, hope so the back to back league option is not their up for grabs. Kushal Das also said,” Is it possible for a player to play around 50 matches in 5 months time? So it is difficult to entertain the idea of having back to back leagues,”.
