Also, Team India's strength and conditioning coach Soham Desai spoke out about the team's preparation in the video and stated, "We've had three days of hard quarantine in Mumbai, then a ten-hour long flight. Yesterday, too, we had a hard quarantine here. So, starting our skill sessions should've been a high risk for our guys. Today evening, we had a run, stretched out, squatted out, and this game (Footvolley) will help them bridge the gap between inactivity and skills. Schedule is such that we have to get going right away. We can do only so much to adjust to elevation here, which is 1400m, and we are coming from sea level. The guys will take 2-3 days to adapt to that.”

The upcoming series against Proteas comes on the back of a controversial speculated conflict between Test Skipper, Virat Kohli and BCCI President, Sourav Ganguly. But it would be intriguing to see how the team performs despite controversies, in what would be an acid test for them.
