Internet Desk: Team India maintained their 100th spot in the FIFA rankings before they play a friendly against Nepal on June 6.

After playing against Nepal, India faces Kyrgyzstan in an important tie for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup qualifier.

Along with India, Kazakhstan and Nicaragua also holds the 100th spot. There was no change in the position as India didn’t play any matches in the previous month.

India reached the 100th position for the first time in 21 years after important away wins against Myanmar and Cambodia.

India’s best ever FIFA ranking was 94th and it was the only time when the nation was inside the 100th rank in 1996.

Brazil currently tops the ranking, while Argentina and Germany are ranked second and third respectively.

Chile and Colombia finish the top five while Poland climbed one spot and are currently ranked 10th.
