Internet Desk: India thrashed New Zealand in the first of three-match T20I at the Feroz Shah Kotla on Wednesday. Beside Nehra, who played his last international match at his home venue, India skipper Virat Kohli too was under limelight for a different reason. During India’s batting, Kohli was seen using a walkie-talkie in a video footage. After that incident many have started saying that the India captain has violated the laws of the International Cricket Council (ICC).

During the first wicket partnership between openers Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma, a camera framed Kohli and on that time he was talking to someone via walkie talkie at New Delhi. Though later the team management confirmed that Kohli had the permission of the ICC’s Anti Corruption Security Unit.

“While walkie talkie is used by support staff to communicate between dug out and the dressing room, Kohli had sought permission from Venue ACU manager before using it,” an ICC official, who did not wished to be named, told PTI.

This has been used for the communication between the dugout and the dressing room for the communication between two places. The India skipper had taken the permission from the ICC anti-corruption manager at the venue, Bir Singh. He did this to communicate with player support personnel in the dressing room.
