Ashraf had earlier said that the hybrid model was not beneficial for Pakistan and he has always rejected it. He felt PCB should have negotiated better to make sure that the entire tournament should have been played in Pakistan. Sri Lanka taking the bigger lot of games, leaving Pakistan with only four games, isn’t in the best interest of our Pakistan.

According to the hybrid model Pakistan will host four matches while remaining nine games will be played in Sri Lanka. India will play all its matches in Sri Lanka. The tournament will begin from August 31. The matches in Pakistan will be played at the Gadaffi Stadium in Lahore.
