Sabyasachi Bagchi: India remains unbeaten in the U-19 World Cup on their to reach the final and now they will face Australia on Saturday in the big clash. Indian head coach Rahul Dravid never allowed any pressure on the young colts. Before the final Rahul took a class and said them about his experience of 2003 World Cup final.

www.xtratime.in spoke to Ishan Porel who is an important member of Indian U 19 team as he said, “We didn’t practice today. We just did gym and poll session and then he took a class for ten minutes and it was a great experience.”

“He told us about the 2003 World Cup final. This was also the first cup final for them so the entire team was very excited. This excitement was the cause of India’s defeat so he advised us not to get too excited about the final.” Ishan said about Dravid’s class.

Although, Indian young clots thumped Australia in their first match of the tournament by 100 runs but, the team management doesn’t want to think about that match. “We are still unbeaten in this tournament. If we can play aggressively for those 100 overs we can win. After the first match Australia is also unbeaten. So we have to be very careful.” This young boy said.

Ishan got injured in the first match but came back very strongly against Pakistan as he trashed them with his bowling. He tanked Rahul as he got support from his coach said, “He was with me and encouraged me. He never thought to send me back though I was injured. I got support from team Physio and support staffs and I want to thank my team management.”

This lad from Chandannagar was very disappointed after not being picked by any IPL franchise. Specially after his team mates Prithvi Shaw, Shubman Gill, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Shivam Mavi and Anukul Roy got chance to play in IPL. Again Rahul came forward and called him and gave example of Cheteshwar Pujara as he said, “Pujara didn’t play for any IPL team but he is playing with reputation and respect for team India and you should try it too. You should feel proud of representing your country.” “ Now I am just concentrating on the Final.” Ishan added.
