ICC U19 WC: Shubman and Ishan lift India to a dominating victory over Pakistan in the semis

Internet Desk: Brilliant India destroyed the hopes of Pakistan by 203 runs victory to lift India to yet another ICC U19 World Cup Final today. KKR’s new purchase Shubman Gill’s sensational century (101) helped India to post a decent total of 271 while batting first. Then it was a sublime opening spell by pacer Ishan Porel (17/4), followed by some commanding performences by the spinners helped the Men in Blue to bundle the arch rivals to 69 runs.

Openers – skipper Prithvi Shaw (41) and Manjot Kalra (47) – gave solid start after the men in blue won the toss and elected to bat first at Hagley Oval in Christchurch. Then Shubman played an absolute incredible innings where he had to bat with the lower order as well to register a good total on the board.

Pakistan was off to a bad start after losing three early wickets for just 20 runs. Ishan Porel destroyed the top order of Pakistani batting and claimed the first four wickets. Shiva Singh, Riyan Parag, Anukul Roy and Abhishek Sharma shared among themselves the rest of the wickets.

Unbeaten India will face Australia in the final in the believe to win their 5th ICC U19 World Cup Trophy.
