Internet Desk: ICC U-19 World Cup has given a lot of new talents to world who has done tremendously well in the senior level. Players like Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson, Brain Lara, Inzamam-ul-Haq and Sanath Jayasuriya came in to the limelight by playing really well in this mega event.

www.xtratime.in will let you know everything about the each individual who will wear the blue jersey in the upcoming World Cup which is set to start from January 13, 2018. The U19 colts will face Australia in their opening game which will start from January 14.

Today we will discuss about Abhishek Sharma who is basically an all-rounder has already represented Punjab and the Indian U19 Indian team.

This Punjab all-rounder ended as highest wicket taker with 59 wickets in 2016 Vijay Merchant Trophy. He also scored 1200 runs in 12 innings which was also the best by any batsman.

Looking at his performance Punjab team management gave him a place to the state team. He made his first class debut for Punjab in the recently concluded Ranji Trophy season against Himachal Pradesh in last October. There he scored 202 runs in four matches with a highest score of 92. Beside that he showed his character with the ball too as he took six wickets in the rich tournament. Abhishek Sharma can be another key talent for the upcoming U-19 World Cup.
