Image Source: Xtra Time[/caption] Kolkata: Wriddhiman Saha was feeling a lot tensed while the selection committee meeting was in progress in Delhi today. Saha made a comeback into the test squad after being forced out of the Indian test team due to an injury to his finger during the second test at Vizag against England. The Bengal stumper was preferred over Gujarat captain Parthiv Patel, who did reasonably well against the three test matches against England. “I was feeling a lot tensed I must admit while the selection meeting was on. But I am feeling a lot more relaxed now. My job now will be to do justice about my selection with my batting and wicket-keeping,” said Saha to xtratime.in There was anticipation that Wriddhiman will be included in the test squad. He had a decent run both with the bat and with the gloves behind the wicket in the last six months. He notched up his first century in test career when he scored a ton against West Indies in St. Lucia. He followed it up with successive fifties in both innings during the second test match against New Zealand at Eden Gardens. It also earned him the Man of the Match at his own backyard. Saha was part of the test squad that played the one off test match against Bangladesh in June 2015. On being asked about the Bangladesh team, he said, “They have done well against us in the past in the shorter format. But we should consider ourselves favourite to win the test as we have a formidable batting line up along with bowlers who can win test matches.” Lastly the wicket keeper batsman reckons it will be a good practice for them ahead of the test series against Australia. “It’s good for us to get the confidence going ahead of the series against Australia,” said Saha.
