Staff Reporter: The All India Football Federation’s (AIFF) Appeal Committee comprising of Amarendra Sharan,Tamal Mukherjee,Saurabh Kripal, Nikhil Rohatgi met in New Delhi to discuss about the matter of the transfer ban on Kolkata giants East Bengal on Friday. This was imposed by the Players Status Committee a couple of months back on Sukhdeb Singh’s signing issue. Another member of the committee Savio Messias wasn’t present in the meeting due to some personal reasons. The committee has already taken its decision about the fate of East Bengal but they will reveal their ultimate verdict in three or four days time.

AIFF’s Secretary Kushal Das told www.xtratime.in that,” The members of the Appeal Committee met today but they haven’t informed anything regarding their decision. I can only tell you something after knowing their verdict.”

As per sources the parent body it’s a positive news for the fans of the Red & Gold Brigade as the committee looked very much soft before taking any decision about the club which has a rich legacy for almost 100 years. The ban may be lifted in a few days time but the club will have to play a big amount to the parent body as financial compensation.
