East Bengal’s one of the brightest aspects of this season has certainly been defender Eduardo. Alongside leading the defence line, he is also scoring goals to help his team. So far, Khalid’s team have scored seven goals and conceded four. As a result, the gaffer was seen giving extra emphasis on the set pieces. East Bengal to face Churchill Brothers on 16th December and Eduardo said, “Our coach has all the details about Churchill. We will play according to his plan.”
A victory against the Goan side will bring East Bengal back in the title race. But Eduardo is not thinking too much about it. He stated, “We are not thinking too much ahead right now. The focus now is to go one match at a time.”
Though East Bengal had a 5-1 victory in the last game, forwards Willis Plaza and Charles continue to disappoint the fans. But Edu claimed, “Plaza and Charles are two of the best forwards of the league. They just need a goal to get their form back.”
