Kolkata: City giant East Bengal’s new recruit Dudu Omagbemi has reached Kolkata today. This is his second innings for him in the Red & Gold Brigade as he last played for East bengal three years back. He would be replacing Brazilian forward Charles d’Souza for the remainder of the season and his first game would be against arch-rivals Mohun Bagan.

Both the Kolkata-giants will face each other in the return leg of Kolkata derby next Sunday and East Bengal’s forward line will be bolstered by his inclusion in the forward line. On being asked whether Kolkata will see the battle of supremacy between Sony Norde and Dudu Omagbemi, the Nigerian striker replied,” This is not the fight between Dudu and Sony. The two side will face each other and the better side would win.”

Beside that he said to East Bengal supporters that,” I am very happy that the officials have chosen me to play. I am fully fit and looking forward to play well for the side to make the supporters happy.”

Dudu feels that the Red & Gold Brigade has a good chance of winning the game,” We have quality footballers in the side. I believe that we have a great chance to win the I-League this season,” said Dudu.

Earlier in his career the referee showed him marching orders in a Kolkata derby, but Dudu don’t want to remember these things anymore.” I don’t want to remember what happened in past and looking forward to do well for my side,” added Dudu.

All eyes will be on the duo of Dudu and Plaza in the derby as their combination will decide that whether East Bengal will win the match or not.
