Kolkata: Mohun Bagan coach Sanjoy Sen will not adopt Atletico de Kolkata coach Jose Molina’s philosophy of making too many chopping and changes during the forthcoming I League. The Spanish coach’s strategy of making nine changes for the all important ISL second semi-final clash against Mumbai City FC was the talking point in Indian football. In spite of making so many changes he managed to take Atletico de Kolkata in the final of ISL and went on to become the champions.

Mohun Bagan coach on Thursday out rightly ruled out adopting Molina’s philosophy during the course of I League. “I don’t believe in the principle of changing too many players from the playing eleven as it disrupts the playing combination and in a supporter based club like Mohun Bagan it is quiet impossible as there will be too much criticism about it. I don’t frequently change players during back to back matches as it is against my philosophy. I want to stick to my principle as other coaches too have their own preferences,” said the Bagan gaffer.

Atletico De Kolkata coach Jose Molina raised many a-eyebrows including football pundits when he changed his winning combination for the semi final second leg against Mumbai City FC. The Spanish coach made 9 changes to the eleven which registered a memorable 3-2 win against Mumbai City FC.

Meanwhile Sehnaz Singh joined the Bagan training from today. Sehnaz, who was with East Bengal last season signed for Mohun Bagan. The defensive midfielder was part of the I League winning side couple of seasons back. According to Sehnaz, “I am a professional player and play whichever club gives a good offer. My only aim this year is to win the I-League for the club.”

Goalkeeper Debjit Majumdar though heaped high praises on his franchise coach. According to the Atletico de Kolkata goalkeeper, “I have learnt a lot from ATK coach as far as my confidence is concerned. Last year we were close to winning the I League but didn’t make it. This year our focus will be to win the I-League again for the club.”
