Kolkata: Colombian football legend Carlos Valderrama has visited the club which has the legacy of hosting legendary footballers like Pele, Maradona, Lahm and Gullit. The moment he arrived at the Mohun Bagan club, the club Assistant Secretary Srinjoy Bose and and Finance Secretary Debasish Dutta greeted him in rousing reception.
The club also handed him a no.10 Mohun Bagan shirt as Debasish Dutta Said, “We will preserve this jersey in our club. We don’t think any other shirt number would have fitted him.”
Earlier in the day, Valderrama also visited the Sports Museum at Eco Space, Rajarhat where he posed for some precious frames. After that, he went to meet CAB President Sourav Ganguly at the Eden Gardens. Sourav was busy at an ad-shoot and thus the Colombian legend had to wait for about ten minutes before getting the opportunity to meet the Inxdian cricket legend.
The duo also shared a healthy interaction before Valderrama left for Mohun Bagan’s felicitation.
