IPL 2017: Concerns for KKR as star fast bowler gets injured before starting preparations
Kolkata: Two times' IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders will begin their preparations for the 10th edition amidst concerns for their star fast bowler Trent Boult's injury from Saturday. Boult has also been ruled out of the third cricket test against South Africa.
The left-arm fast bowler who was roped in by KKR for a whopping five crores failed to recover in time from the groin injury that forced him out of the second Test, won by the Proteas in Wellington last weekend.
Meanwhile, skipper Gautam Gambhir is slated to join the men in purple on March 27.
The likes of Sheldon Jackson, Ankit Rajpoot, Sayan Ghosh will assemble on Saturday along with assistant coach and former Australia southpaw Simon Katich.
KKR will take on Gujarat Lions in Rajkot on April 7.
