Hope The Media Does Not Raise Questions On My Retirement Now: Dhoni

Kolkata: The sixes hit by MS Dhoni on the final of the Asia Cup were not to Al-Amin-Hossain. The sixes hit were not to the person who portrayed MS Dhoni’s head cut picture in the hands of Taskin Ahmed. The sixes were also not to the rhythm of “mauka mauka.”

The sixes hit were directed towards the Indian media. On Monday, after victorious Team India reached Kolkata early morning, local manager Sandip Das congratulated Dhoni on his magnificient knock and gifted him a bouquet.

Dhoni was quick to answer him back with a smile. He replied,” Hope the media does not raise questions on my retirement now.”

Earlier, before leaving for Bangladesh for the Asia Cup in a media session at Kolkata questions were raised on Dhoni’s retirement by the Indian media. Dhoni then quoted as saying addressing the media, “If you want me to retire, you are free to write a letter to me. But you have to mention the reason for my retirement. My stance on my retirement will not change. It will be the same as it was a year ago. Because I am MS Dhoni and it won’t change until and unless you guys change my name.”

Meanwhile, Team India enjoyed till late night on Sunday after winning the Asia Cup. Special cakes and special champagne were ordered for Team India. Team India reached Kolkata early morning today and they will take rest the whole day. A press meet is arranged for Team India on Tuesday and they are scheduled to face West Indies in the first warm–up tie at the Eden Gardens on 10th March.
