Internet Desk: Haryana witnessed a different dawn as the Olympic Medalist daughter returned home. Bronze winner Sakshi Malik received a grand welcome reaching her home land today. The government of Haryana named her as the Brand Ambassador of Beti bachao, Beti padhao drive of Haryana.
After arriving at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, Ms. Malik stopped at Mundka village in Delhi, before attending a ceremony in Bahadurgarh where Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar presented her a cheque of Rs. 2.50 crore.
It was an eager wait for the flag bearer of the closing ceremony of Rio 2016 to return home. She posted that on her twitter too.

Reaction of Sakshi Malik was as overwhelmed as after she won the repechage match at Rio 2016. She further thanked all the countrymen for supporting her.
“I will thank everybody for supporting me. I wish they will support me for the coming times too”, said Sakshi.
She expressed how eagerly she was waiting for the love she received after this win. She said, “My biggest dream was to win an Olympic Medal. I tried for it for the past 12years. Now that has been fulfilled. I am delighted with the support”.
Previously Sakshi tweeted that she was missing her homemade breakfast. Today at the airport she said, “I don’t know when I will get that one. May be it is not possible today”, as she was to go places following receptions.
