Internet Desk: Sporting Clube de Goa continued its good run in the Goa Pro League. The Orange army thrashed Vasco SC 5-0 at the Duler Stadium on Friday. The win placed Sporting in the second position on points table with 14 points from 6 matches. FC Bardez leads the table with 16 points from 8 matches.

Sporting started at a brisk pace as the Mathew Costa coached side kept on pressing for goal. Sporting did get rewarded through a Joseph Perera strike in the 32nd minute. Perera scored from a Victorino Fernandes assist as his shot got past Vasco custodian. Victorino himself got his name on the scoring sheet with a strike in the 35th minute. Glenn Martins added the tally in the 39th minute. Both teams went into the breather with Sporting leading 3-0.

Sporting, who got promoted this year back in the I League was awarded a penalty in the 54th minute. Francis Dadzie made no mistake in concerting the spot kick. Victorino Fernandes sealed the fate for his team with a strike in the 64th minute. The marging could have been much bigger has the Sporting strikers converted the opportunities.
