Image Source: BCCI[/caption] Internet Desk: Two time IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) skipper on Sunday said the century partnership between Sunil Narine and Chris Lynn was the best of all time he has ever seen in his cricketing career. KKR thumped Royal Challengers Bangalore in a rain-effected match at Bengaluru where Narine and Lynn shared a 105-run stand for the first wicket in just 6.1 overs. After returning from shoulder injury Lynn scored a quick fire half century, on the other hand Narine played a knock of 54 runs in just 17 deliveries as the visitors passed the score in just 15.1 overs. “This is the best partnership I’ve seen in my entire career,” Gambhir said at the post-match presentation ceremony. “I haven’t seen such a partnership to be honest. It was an unbelievable effort. You don’t see teams getting hundred in six overs,” the southpaw, who scored 14, said. While talking about the Aussie batsman Chris Lynn, Gambhir said the Australian left-hander is the hardest hitter of the cricket ball at present. “He (Lynn) must be the hardest hitter in international cricket. The way he played today after coming from injury shows how mentally strong he is,” he said. According to KKR skipper, it was the team management’s idea to send Narine and Lynn to open the batting with the left-right combination. “It was the team management’s call (to get Narine opening). It was some of the best hitting I’ve seen,” he said of the West Indian off-spinner, who has surprised one and all with his skills with the bat this edition. Gambhir led KKR are now in second place in the points table with 16 points in 12 matches and will face Punjab in an away game at Mohali.
