Internet Desk: Denying rumors of deterioration of the health of Michael Schumacher, former Ferrari chairman Luca Cordero di Montezemolo said that he will recover from his injuries.

“I’m very pleased to know that he is reacting,” he told.

Luca di Montezemolo said himself in February that Schumacher’s health was “not good”.

However, the man who was Ferrari chairman when Schumacher won five consecutive world titles between 2000 and 2004, offered renewed hope to fans of the German superstar on Monday.

The seven times formula 1 champion suffered from severe head injury during skiing in 2013. He was airlifted to Grenoble Hospital where doctors performed two life-saving operations and placed him in a medically induced coma. Schumacher has been receiving treatment at his home in Switzerland since September 2014.

It had recently been suggested that the condition of the seven-time Formula One world champion was getting worse following his 2013 skiing accident. With conflicting reports constantly emerging about Schumacher’s condition, Di Montezemolo has given fresh hope the German could recover.

‘I know how strong he is. I’m sure that thanks to his determination; which will be crucial, he will come out from this very, very difficult situation”, added Montezemolo.
