Kolkata: Haitian winger Wedson Anselme had a mixed-bag season for Indian power-house Kingfisher East Bengal. The former Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi attacker was signed by the Kolkata Giant with a lot of expectation as they thought the Haitian would help them to win the long awaited I-League title. But unfortunately he got injured in the mid-way of the tournament and since then he never got his rhythm back.

After he was released by East Bengal, it was rumoured that the foreigner could sign for an ISL franchise this season. FC Goa had reportedly a chat with him as well. But eradicating all the speculations, sources in Bangladesh told www.xtratime.in that Wedson is all set to join Bangladesh Premier League side Saif Sporting Club in a whooping transfer.

It is learnt that Wedson will earn around 50 lacs Rupees in Indian currency and he has to play only eleven games in the league, which means he will earn more than Rs.4 lacs per game in his new club. Wedson has always been a prolific goalscorer in Bangladesh and scored a record 26 goals in the 2014 season.

Saif Sporting Club official Nasiruddin Chowdhury told that the deal is almost done and he would be unveiled as an official Saif Sporting Club player in a few days. No doubt, the return of Wedson will make a serious impact in Bangladesh Club football.
