Image Source: Mumbai City FC[/caption] Kolkata: 1998 France World Cup winning footballer Thierry Henry arrived in Kolkata to witness Hero India Super League clash between Mumbai City FC and hosts Atletico de Kolkata. The Arsenal legend touched down at the Netaji Subhash International Airport at 8:15 am. He was immediately rushed to the Mumbai City FC team hotel. The French footballer was brought out through the cargo gate of the airport in order to avoid the fans and media waiting to have a glimpse of him. The French footballer met the Mumbai City FC footballer at the team hotel on by-pass. Mumbai City FC later posted a photograph of their marquee footballer Diego Forlan with Henry on their twitter handle. Earlier the Uruguayan footballer did wish Henry on his to trip to Kolkata to witness their match against Atletico. Mumbai-City-FC-tweet As part of sponsor commitments Henry will also take part in a chat show with India forward Robin Singh in a city mall before heading to the Rabindra Sarobar Stadium. Henry, who holds the French record of 51 goals in 123 internationals, will be joined by ISL chairperson Nita Ambani at the stadium. In Mumbai, the French international will attend a friendly match among Arsenal Football School and Reliance Foundation Young Champ in the afternoon. Henry will be latest to join the elite list of football greats who have visited the city. Brazilian football legend Pele witnessed a home match of Atletico de Kolkata last year. The city also witnessed many football icons including Diego Maradona (2008), Lionel Messi (2011), Oliver Kahn (2008) among others.
