Internet Desk: Buoyant by the win against DSK Shivajians in the last I League match, East Bengal will look to continue its winning momentum against Churchill Brothers. The Kolkata giants will take on the Goan outfit on Wednesday.

But the major concern for East Bengal gaffer Trevor Morgan is the heat in Goa. The temperature is soaring at 32 degree Celsius in Goa at the moment. The Red and Gold footballers, who reached Goa yesterday, were given rest. The players spent time at the gymnasium and swimming pool at the hotel. Later Morgan sat down with all the players to watch the match between Churchill Brothers and Mumbai FC. The Goan side returned empty hand after they conceded a late goal, thereby losing the match 1-2.

The East Bengal footballers trained at Cuncolim in South Goa as the main stadium was quite far from the place they are staying. But Morgan is not too worried as most of his footballers have the experience of playing at the venue last season against Salgaocar.

Fourth foreigner Ildar Amirov, who joined the team yesterday, did take part in the training session. The Kyrgyzstan international had a tough time practicing in the heat as he is not used to practicing under such hot conditions. On being asked whether Amirov will be in the 18 member squad, Morgan said, “He may be in squad. But I have not decided whether to play him in the match on Wednesday.”

Churchill Brothers, in spite of playing Anthony Wolfe suffered an embarrassing loss at the hands of Mumbai FC. East Bengal coach Morgan warned his players, not to take the opponents lightly. According to Trevor Morgan, “Churchill will be a tough opponent. I have watched them play. But we have to play well as a team to return victorious.”

Romeo Fernades, who joined East Bengal this season from Dempo may get his first start for the Red and Golds. The gaffer though did not throw much light whether he will play from the beginning or not.

East Bengal has so far pocketed 4 points from 2 matches courtesy their win against DSK Sivajians in the last match. They drew their first match at home against Aizawl FC Churchill Brothers is yet to get a point as they lost both their matches against Mohun Bagan and Mumbai FC.
