Kolkata: Mohun Bagan’s Haitian superstar Sony Norde fell into immediate trouble the very next day after clinching the 14th Fed Cup title. What had happened actually? Sony Norde reached Kolkata last morning with Mohun Bagan officials Srinjoy Basu and Satyajit Chatterjee. After coming out from the airport, he found his car’s wheels locked by the Airport police authority. Sony had to wait in his car for 15 minutes before Bagan officials and airport authorities settled the issue. According to sources from the airport, Sony’s car was parked in a non-parking zone and his number plate too was not proper.

Meanwhile, Sony left for Haiti last night to accompany his side for the Copa America and he would not be playing in Mohun Bagan’s Tuesday’s AFC Cup Round of 16 match against Tampine Rovers. Not only Sony Norde, the Mariners would also the miss the services of Katsumi Yusa and Pritam Kotal due to injuries. Mohun Bagan did not return to Kolkata yesterday as they would return after playing the last match of the season.
