Kolkata: Mohun Bagan files an FIR to the Joint Commissioner of Police at the crime branch of Lal Bazar against an East Bengal fan who threatened to bring back the ill-fated 16th August in the forthcoming Calcutta Football League on 7th September.
16th August is said to be the Black Day of Indian football as 16 fans passed away in a terrible accident at the Eden Gardens in the 1980.
The fierce rivalry between East Bengal and Mohun Bagan has witnessed a lot of other ill-fated stories as well. But an open challenge on facebook to repeat the frightening incident has indeed made the Mohun Bagan officials anxious.
