The 37-year-old forward who has played for several big clubs around the world is set to join the Indian side. He will replace Adrian Mutu as their marquee player.

The former Iceland international and legend got a major breakthrough in his career when he joined English Premier League giants Chelsea FC in 2000. He was a member of Chelsea side under Jose Mourinho which had won back to back Premier League titles.

In 2006, Mourinho sold Gudjohnsen to FC Barcelona where he spent 3 seasons. Playing alongside the likes of Thierry Henry, Ronaldinho, etc, the man won the coveted UEFA Champions League in 2007. He returned to England in 2010 when his then club AS Monaco sent him on loan to Tottenham Hotspur.
