Kolkata: The claims made by Mohammedan Sporting to the IFA about shifting the home ground from Kalyani has been acknowledged by the IFA. The match between Mohammedan Sporting and Peerless which was scheduled to be played on August 26 at Kalyani stadium from 2:45 PM has been shifted to Barasat stadium and will begin from 6:30 PM

The Black Panthers had previously raised claims that it was difficult for their fans to travel to Klayani and witness their team play and if the match is to be played in Barasat then a lot of fans could turn up. As of now a course of License A is being held at the Barasat stadium, so after the course classes’ gets over at 5 in the afternoon the game can commence.

As the IFA Secretary Utpal Ganguly was indisposed, the meeting was held at his residence where the decision to let Mohammedan play at Barasat. The information of venue shifting and time change has been informed to both the clubs.

The officials of the Kolkata giant are apparently happy with the decision. Another claim was made by the club about reducing the ticket prices which was not acknowledged by the IFA. The Football Federation made it certain that on no condition would ticket prices be reduced.

“We are certainly happy with the decision. Many fans couldn’t travel to Kalyani, however with the new ground we will expect more fans to come up. We thank the IFA for accepting our claims.” said Bilal Ahmed Khan, Football secretary of Mohammedan Sporting.

“Yes we decided on the matter and accepted their claims” said Utpal Ganguly.
