Kolkata: Khalid Jamil is all set to start his stint as the coach of Kolkata giants East Bengal when the seven-time Calcutta Football League champions will lock horns against Rainbow on August 12. Ahead of the first game Khalid is feeling the pressure of managing a side like East Bengal. The Red & Gold Brigade played a 1-1 draw with Rainbow couple of days back and it would be on the mind of the footballers when they will hit the field to start their journey to win the title for the record eighth consecutive times.

East Bengal’s star forward Willis Plaza hadn’t performed well against Rainbow, but the Red and Gold gaffer is putting his faith on the Trinidad & Tobago international and he will be playing the game for the side. According to Khalid, his team will not face any problem if they have to play on a wet field as they have already practiced on both wet and normal ground.

Khalid has said that he is not thing about the footballers like Arnab Mondal, Md. Rafique, Nikhil Poojari and Salam Ranjan Singh as they will leave the side to play for India, but he wants his side to score as quickly as possible in their first game.

On the other hand, a defensive medio from Hondurus, Rodolfo Espinal has sent his bio-data to the East Bengal club.
