Kolkata: Arguably the best stadium of Asia, the Yuva Bharati Krirangan has almost neared its completion to host the upcoming FIFA U17 World Cup. The ground will be ready to host the greatest football extravaganza in about a fortnight. Acronymed as YBK the Salt Lake stadium is also the largest stadium of the country. As per the FIFA regulations and requirements the stadium has been refurnished and renovated to match the International quality required for hosting FIFA and World Cup games.
Sports Minister of the state, Mr. Aroop Biswas today claimed that almost every work has been done in the stadium diligently and only 15days will be required to for the entire completion of the ground.
The Salt Lake stadium will be hosting the finals of the tournament and as of now all the tickets for the finals have been sold out. The FIFA President was informed regarding the matter and he expressed his happiness upon hearing the good news.
Upon the advice of the Chief Minister of the State Smt. Mamata Banerjee it has been planned that all football matches would be held in the stadium irrespective of it being of the I-League or of the ISL. Today she also handed out goods and necessary supplements for young boys and girls who would be going on a mountain expedition in a few days.
