Kolkata: When life becomes dark and gloomy for you, it again repays you back with lightness and fresh beginnings and that is exactly what happened to Rony Das, 25 a father of a young daughter for whom the entire world turned black on March 11. A resident of Belur who has a small work in his locality had the world crashing down on his feats on the Day before Holi.
While returning to his home on a motorbike in a wet street, his bike skidded and he came under the wheels of a passing truck. Though he survived this dangerous accident he has lost his right leg which became unresponsive from his knee.
This avid East Bengal supporter and the father of a daughter of 2 years’ idol is Mehtab Hossain. Mehtab too once visited Rony in his house when he was injured. However, he finally found light in the dark tunnel today, when he visited his beloved club to watch his favourite Red and Gold team play after many months.
Meeting his friends at the club made him extremely happy and he thanked the club for providing him an opportunity to see today’s victory.
“All of a suddenly my entire life turned dark, however watching my team play filled me with immense happiness and I am able to breathe a sigh of relief after visiting my club” concluded a 25 year old Rony Das.
