Kolkata: City giant Mohun Bagan’s star Haitian winger Sony Norde is known as a Brazilian supporter. After reaching the City of Joy few days back, he wanted to watch the FIFA U17 semifinal match between Brazil vs England, but due to his jetlag and training he couldn’t watch the match. Though the Selecao’s lost that match 3-1.

In the absence of Brazil, Sony came to support Spain with his family in the high voltage final game between England and Spain. The Mohun Bagan skipper also explained why he is supporting Spain today. Sony himself plays as a winger, he always loves passing football and that’s the reason he likes the Spanish football very much.

Sony looked very happy with the newly transformed Salt Lake Stadium. The Green and Maroon Brigade will play their home games in the forthcoming I-League season and Sony is eagerly waiting for his chance to play at the ‘Mecca’ of Indian football.

Though at the end of the day Engalnd beat Spain to clinch their maiden FIFA U17 title.
