Kolkata: For the upcoming U17 World Cup a grand programme is being organized by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) on September 6 at Mumbai. Apart from the presence of legends like IM Vijaiyan and Baichung Bhutia, plans are being made to bring in more delegates in this grand arrangement. We saw the likes of Footballing legends Cambiasso and Kanu taking part in the Fifa U17 draw held at Mumbai the previous month. However no such information is with the AIFF as to whether such legends would visit the country for the u17 trophy tour and as a result the federation plans to make such huge grandeur to lure in such legends.

Mohun Bagan’s new foreigner Diego Ferreira passed today’s medical. However only after tomorrow’s medical tests he will be signed by the Kolkata giants. While the other players of the club, too will be having their Medical at a special clinic located in Shyambazar.

Bagan foreigner Kingsley said that playing in Kolkata is nothing new to him as he had previously played in Mohameddan and other clubs. And as a result he would require very less time to get accustomed to Kolkata football.

Meanwhile Mohameddan Sporting Club announced the signing of Dipanda Dicka, Kalu Ogba, Manandeep Singh, Sampath Kuttymani, Harpreet Singh, Ifham Tariq Mir and Aakif Junaid for the CGL on Monday at the IFA office.

The draw for the CFL will take place tomorrow. East Bengal will be playing their first game on August 12 at their club ground, Mohameddan will play at Barasat on 13th while Mohun Bagan will take the field on Aug 14th at their ground and it is to be seen as to whom the Kolkata giants get as their first opponent in the upcoming league.
